Practical training in Sherry wines

Register for the most comprehensive face-to-face course about sherry on the market. A unique experience whereby González Byass Winemaker and Master Blender Antonio Flores, along with other top-level guest speakers will open the doors to the prestigious Tío Pepe Winery in Jerez de la Frontera and reveal secrets from almost two hundred years of history. 

Over the course of a day and a half, the Tio Pepe SherryMaster will guide you through a tasting of more than 20 wines straight from the butts. You will also see the world’s biggest wine rack storing bottles of sherry and learn the intricacies of this thousand-year-old winemaking tradition. The experience will give you in depth appreciation of these complex wines, whilst gaining the knowledge to form commercial arguments.

Registration requirements

1.

Those interested in taking part in the SherryMaster workshops must have prior experience in Wine, Mixology or as a Sommelier and have knowledge of sherry.

2.

All applications will be reviewed by a committee to assess eligibility.

3.

Successful applicants will be invited to enrol formally and make a payment in order to reserve one of the limited available places.

All persons of legal age, 18 years of age or older.

The course is taught in English. 

No, there is no commitment at all at this stage.  If your application is successful, you can decide if you would like to proceed.

Unfortunately, not due to the high demand for places on the course.

It always runs at the beginning of September.

A day and a half. 

No, the programme fee doesn’t include travel or accommodation in Jerez.

We aim to confirm the guest speaker in July and will announce it on our social networks and via email.

Yes, the course is endorsed by González Byass. To obtain your certificate, you will need to complete all the lessons in the course.

It includes lunch and dinner on the first day, lunch on the second day, travel between the vineyards and the winery and, of course, all the tastings at the winery.
